On the 23d November, within a few hours of Cairo, in Egypt, whither he was pro- ceeding to a visitation of a part of h's diocese, Dr. Michhael Solomon Alexander, Lord Bishop of the Anglican Church in Jerusalem. On the 28th, at Rome, Elizabeth, second daughter of the late Sir Joseph Birch, Bart., of the nestles, Lancashire.
