ROOFING FOR PISE.

[To THE EDITOR or THE " SPECTATOR.'I SIR,—Having read with interest your articles on Pise' may I suggest (though perhaps rather late in the day on account of mail delay) that a cheap and not unsightly roof may be constructed .of reinforced concrete made of cement and cinders on a foundation of wire-netting ? I saw one made of these materials in the Eastern Transvaal a few years ago. The wire was fixed first, with a temporary planking below, and the concrete, mixed with cinders obtained from the railway engine sheds, laid on about three inches thick. The cinders are light, and the wire gives the necessary strength. For a larger span. wire-netting might have to be doubled.—I am, Sir, &c.,
