Sixes and Sevens, written by F. E. Weatherly, and illustrated

by Jane M. Dealy (Hildesheimer and Faulkner), is one of the prettiest of the many pretty books for children that have passed through our hands this season. The verses are very amusing and flow smoothly, and the humour of them is not above the comprehension of children. The illustrations, especially the representations of animals, are equal to the verses. There is a philosophic cat, however, whose breadth of back suggests the idea of two stoat kittens rolled into one.
