of £5, which may be divided, is offered for a limerick with rhymes conspicuous for their absence, c.f. the Old Man of Tralee who was stung on the leg by a wasp.

Entries, must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, W.C.1, in envelopes marked " Competition," and must be received not later than August 1st. Results will be published in the Spectator of August 10th.
