The Times quotes the following paragraph as from the London

cor- respondence of the Dottie Erenin9 a The King leer:it-es with something. approaching to rudeness all the Whig- Itadirals who attend his levees; being utterly disgusted with the mean selfish- ness which induced them to sacrifice the country for their own personal pur- poses. Ilis manner to Mr. Abeteromby, the SoeAer, is Mt 1,4 marked; and so keenly does the latter feel it, that he vows nothing shall e'er induce him itg tin to visit the Court, excepting on such tice.c-ions as his official situation readers piesimee there a matter of absolute necessity." Does the Times think the conduct here imputed to the King crrdit- (dde to his Majesty? Does the Tory organ thiak it politic in the sovereign of this country to starer his private feelings so far as to pre- vail as to treat with rudeness the Speaker of the Cumulous of England? Perhaps the e,hule story is a fabrication—it comes from a suspicions quarter: bat if it be trim all we can say is, that Mr. Abercromby is not the party who will slate in public estimation by the treatment he re-

ceives at Court.
