economic unrest, as 8110wn by the recent abortive, but none the less dangerous strike, continues, and there are signs that the enthusiasm caused by the war has spent itself, and that the liquidation of the expenditure is proving, as it was bound to prove, very unpopular. The King, it is said, is coming in for a full share of the dissatisfaction of the governed with their governors. This is unjust as well as unfortunate, for it is an open secret that the King had no special liking or responsibility, but rattier the reverse, for the Tripoli adventure.
