LIGHT FROM WIND POWER

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—Your readers will be interested to know that Mr. Henry Ford, who is, I suppose, the largest manufacturer of petrol engines in the world, uses electric power derived from the wind for his private estates, having found that this method of, obtaining electricity for lighting purposes is more economical than any other.

If this is the fact in a country where gasoline is 71d. a: gallon, the case for harnessing this vast untapped source of: power is even more cogent in this country, where petrol is dear, and has to be imported from overseas.—I am, Sir, &c.„
