The Foundling Site The subscriptions received towards the purchase of

the site of the Foundling Hospital as a permanent open space exceed £30,000, a generous response in these days, but not nearly enough. We hope that much more will quickly flow in to Sir E. Hilton Young at the West Lodge, Found- ling Site, Guilford Street, W.C.1. It is especially desirable that they should reach him this month since on July 4th it will be decided whether the Local Authorities will give substantially out- of the rates, and the decision will depend upon whether the difference between the price and the amount voluntarily given is too great for them to provide. • * * *
