Watford's County Families of the United Kingdom (Chatto and Windus)

has reached its thirty-seventh year. The editor tells us in his preface that "about one hundred and twenty names have been removed from the book in consequence of the sale of estates, the union of two or more estates, or the total extinction of families."

We are glad to acknowledge, with our usual welcome, The Journal of Education, Vol. XVIII. (W. Rice), keeping its place in the front of all the periodicals devoted to the subject of education.

It is needless to do more than notice the thirty-second issue of The London Diocese Book (Rivington, Percival, and Co.), and say that it gives all the information that can be wanted in a very convenient shape.
