The Liverpool Standard of yesterday records a very destructive fire

on Thursday morning. It broke out among some cotton in a ware- house at the corner of Jackson's Lane; it soon communicated to the warehouse at the other corner, and then to the one adjoining that ; and in spite of every exertion, all were destroyed; while the adjacent buildings were much injured by the heat. Several explosions occurred, of salt- petre in the first warehouse; one concussion threw down some out- houses. It is stated that the mob refused to work the fire-engines.
