CASIMIR PERRIER is again President of the Deputies ; who are not supposed to be over complaisantly inclined to the new Ministers, but no trial of strength has yet taken place. It is said by some parties that the present Cabinet is pro- visional only ; and that as soon as POLIGNAC is tried, the old Ministers will return to power. An important financial law has been announced, by which the direct taxes are very much modi- fied, for the purpose of relieving the poor, and levying an impost on the more wealthy part of the community. The Chamber of Deputies have received it coldly.
