The accounts from Berne are to the 16th instant. The

Diet had met on the previous day, and having received the official notification of the capture of Fri- burg, decreed the temporary occupation of the Canton by the Federal troops, and the appointment of three Federal Commissaries to proceed to Friburg, there to adopt such measures as they might consider necessary. The Commissaries set out immediately after the sitting of the Diet.

One of the diversions attempted by the troops of the Sonderbund, at Sins, daring the operations against Friburg, bad failed.
