Three Curly Tails. By Marion Lockhart. (Bakers and Son. 2s.

net.)—This contains some amusing stories about the author's dogs. In one of them she describes her terror at seeing a pair of boots protruding from under her bed. When she had with difficulty rallied the maids to her help she found that her dogs had taken a pair belonging to the master of the house and left them with an artlessly happy resemblance to the feet of a possible burglar. The profits of the book are to go to the poor children of Plaistow.
