[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."] Sia,—With reference to your criticism of my Socialist novel, ." A More Excellent Way," which appeared in the Spectator of October 6th, will you allow me to explain that the question whether Freethought is the same thing as Home-rule, was asked me last year by a lady of good social position, the widow of a clergyman ?
