Defending the Dean

Sir: It seems that to pour scorn on the Dean of St. Paul's is becoming a passport to respectability.

I know nothing about the Dean's Greek scholarship, but perhaps it is no longer supremely relevant. Since it has become more and more likely that our Gospels depend on Aromeic sources, the magic word ' Greek ' can never again be the 'Open Sesame' to every nuance of interpretation..
