Search for Pipers

From Mr Ian A. C. Dejardin Sir: In 2003 Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Ashmolean Museum are celebrating the centenary of John Piper's birth with an exhibition of the best of his prewar art, entitled Abstraction on the Beach: John Piper in the 1930s.

Many of Piper's paintings and constructions made in the 1930s are known only from old photographs. They may still belong to the families of the friends and collectors who first bought them. If any of your readers own abstract or landscape paintings, and collages of coloured papers, made by Piper in the 1930s, I would be most grateful if they could get in touch with me.
