Garrett, K.H., of Ellington, Isle of Thanet, to Elizabeth Harriet, third daughter of the late Colonel Charles King, K.H., for many years on the Staff of the Army in Ireland.

On the 23d August, at Thurso, N.B., suddenly, Lieutenant-Colonel John Ramsay, late of the Bombay Fusiliers, fifth eon of the late Lieutenant-General the Hon. John Ramsay. On the 30th, suddenly, at the Manse of Morven, Argyllshire, Lieutenant-Colonel Charles D. Campbell, of Forms, late of the Thirty-ninth Regiment. On the 1st September, at Pang, Madame Marie de St. Cecile, Abbess of the Con- pent of St. Elizabeth, and sister of Sir Joshua Walmsley, M.P.; in her 60th year. On the 6th, at Horksley Hall, Essex, Catherine, relict of Lieutenant-Colonel Watson, late of the Third Light Dragoons, and of Westwood House, in the same county ; in her 93d year.

On the 8th, at Sandhurst, Louisa Augusta, wife of Lieutenant-Colonel P. L. Macdougall, and daughter of Lieutenant-General Sir William Napier.

On the 8th, at Draycott House, Derby, the Hon. Robert Dundas Murray, youngest son of the seventh Lord Elibank ; in his 39th year.
