Professor Harnack and his Oxford Critics. By Thomas Bailey Saunders.

(Williams and Norgate. ls. 6d.)—This essay defends Professor Harnack's books from the adverse criticism of some English theologians in a somewhat controversial spirit. Mr. Saunders gives his readers, however, a clear definition of Professor Harnack's theological position and of the aim of his work, which is to show "how the Christian religion as represented in the Churches is related to the Gospel as disclosed by history."
