ACTIVE steps are said to be taken to carry the pro- jected railway from Brighton to London into effect. It is intended to apply to Parliament, as soon as it meets, for a bill. A calculation has been made that the railway will cost 180,000/. Passengers, should the project succeed, will be conveyed to London in two hours.
