Sir, Bravo Skinflint! People are at last, starting to realise

the tremendous harm caused by excess sugar consumption to the health of the community. Professor John Yudkin's book Sweet, White, and Deadly should be compulsory reading throughout the, country's schools. The old wives' tale that sugar gives energy should be constantly refuted. It is interesting to note among my own circle of friends how many of them are drastically reducing their sugar intake. When we compare notes it is generally agreed that we feel considerably healthier without added sugar. Most people can get all the sugar they need in their diet from fruit or honey.
