orthodox Christians owe a great debt of gratitude to Mr.

Henry Fairlie for his excellent article `What Will Jones Swallow?' A real debt of gratitude is also due to the Editor of the Spectator for printing this. Bishops have all promised when they were Consecrated, 'to banish and drive away all erroneous and strange doctrine,' but how many of them have the courage actually to do what they promised? It is surely a fantastic state of affairs when a layman does what bishops ought to do, and what they have promised to do.
