Haunted London. By Walter Thornbury. Edited by Edward Walford, M.A.

(Chatto and Windus.)—This volume, we take it, con- tains some of the best and most interesting portions of the vast amount of information collected in "London," a work begun, it will be remembered, by Mr. Thornbury, and finished by Mr. Walford, of which we have spoken more than once with the praise that it de- served. Haunted London contains within a very reasonable compass a remarkable variety of reading, both entertaining and profitable.
