The Western Garland; a Collection of Original Melodies, com-

posed and arranged for the Voice and Pianoforte, by the Musical Professors of the West of Scotland the Words by the author. of the Chameleon.

This elegant little volume contains six Songs, a Duet, and a Glee ; and is the work of five different composers, who, though unknown in this part of the island, are not on that account the less deserving of notice. We like the first song best, although (we might almost say because) a part of it is borrowed from the first Trio in the Seasons. The poetry varies in its character, and is well adapted for music.
