THE LATE SIR JOHN COWANS.

SIR,—Lady Cowans and the executors having authorized Major D. M. Chapman-Huston and myself to write the life of the late General Sir John Cowans, Quartermaster-General to the Forces throughout the War, I beg to say that we should greatly appreciate the opportunity of seeing any letters or other material, including photographs, that might be of assistance to us in the accomplishment of our task.
