A hundred and fifty-three civil servants were included in the recent Honours List.

St Peter found it very right Matt Busby should be dubbed a knight, And, Lad, how heaven and earth must cheer When Tommy Balogh's made a peer.

Since civil servants still exist To decorate the Honours List, Peter was not surprised to see One hundred there and fifty-three, Who'd served their country loud and long

And been rewarded with a gong—

The very number, Peter laughed, Of fishes in my miraculous draught.
