One of My Sons. By A. K. Green. (Ward, Lock,

and Co. 38. 6d.)—This book is marked by a characteristic to which we have had occasion to call attention more than once in connection with recent sensational fiction. The story begins with a murder, and the opening out of the mystery is excellent. But the ex- planation is not particularly exciting, and the reader at the end feels he has been cheated into taking an interest in a very commonplace crime.
