We have received a statement on what should be first-rate

autho- rity, that Earl Russell retires from the Cabinet, and is succeeded by Lord Chirendon. We record the report with deep regret, for though we cannot either suiliort or admire Earl Russell's recent policy in Poland, he is the truest representative the noblest of English factions ever had.
