Will such young men really be satisfied to become clerks

in offices at Wolverhampton, or will they readily support the politician who preaches a new world of organised equality against the politician who preaches opportunity for those who have the strength- to seize it? Surely such young men, having endured a harsh and glorious spring, will demand the flowers and the fruit? In my dark moments (as when the rain pours down at night upon the ruins of the Temple) I see the post-war period as a rebellion of youth against age. No, my dear colleague of the opposite bench, it will not be " we people " who will cause you trouble ; it will be people of whom neither you nor I have ever dreamt.
