On the 4th September, at Howrah, near Calcutta, Robert James, second son of the Right Hon. Sir Janice Wigram, to Leonora, daughter of Henry Alexander, Esq., of Howrah.

On the 12th October, at All Saints, Cambridge, Henry Erskine Rowe, Esq., Fellow i of Trinity College, and Professor of Classics n the University of Melbourne, to Emily, only daughter of Mr. E. Fentirnan, of Thrapstone, Northamptonshire.

On the 16th, at Trinity Church, Chelsea, and afterwards according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church, the Baron de 'Wydenbruck, Chamberlain to the Em- peror of Austria, and Imperial Chargé d'Affaires at the Court of Hesse Cassell, to Isabella Louisa, youngest daughter of the late Lieutenant-Colonel St. John Blacker.

On the 17th, at St. Paul's Episcopal Chapel, Edinburgh, George Mille, Esq., younger, of Jerviswoode, to Helen, younger daughter of Sir John Warrender, of Lochend, Bart.

On the 18th, at St. James's Catholic Church, Spanish Place, Joseph Percival Radcliffe, Esq., eldest son of Sir Joseph Radcliffe, Bart., of Budding Park, York- shire, to Katherine, only surviving child of the late Sir Edward and the Hon. Lady Doughty, of Titchborne Park, Hants, and Upton House, Dorset.

DEATHS.

On the 19th September, at the baths of Lucca, Elizabeth Martha, wile of Mark Noble, Esq., and daughter of the late Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Baynes, R.A., C.B.; in her 20th year. On the 22d, on board the Andes, from wounds received in attacking the Russian intrenchments on the heights of the Alma, the Hon. Charles Luke Hare, Captain of the Seventh Royal Fusiliers, and third surviving brother of the Earl of Listowel.

On the 28th, in the Black Sea, of cholera, the Hon. Robert J. Annealey, Lieu- tenant in the Eleventh Hussars, third son of the late Earl Annesley, and brother of the present Earl. On the 6th October, in Sutherland Square, Walworth, Lieutenant-Colonel David Davies; in his 69th year. He served at I:Metre-Bras and Waterloo, and in the fol- lowing battles in the Peninsula—Nive, Nivelle, Pyrenees, and Corunna.

On the 11th, at Dennington, the Hon. and 13,ev. Frederick Hotham, Canon of Rochester, and Rector of Dennington; in his 80th year.

On the 12th, at,Huntley Hall,.Cheadle, Staffordshire, Rear-Admiral Clement Sneyd ; in his 81st year.

On the 12th, at Surbiton, Kingston-upon-Thames, Lady Ellis, Wife of Sir Henry Ellis, Principal Librarian of the British Museum.

On the 14th, at Brighton, very suddenly, from the rupture of a vessel on the lungs, Samuel Phillips, Esq., LL.D. late of Sydenham Hill; in his 39th year. On the 14th, at Colston LL.D., Notts, Captain George Bohun Martin, R.N., C.B., Captain Superintendent of Deptford Dockyard; in his 55th year.

On the 15th, in Queen Anne Street, Charles Powlett Rushworth, Esq., Com- missioner of Inland Revenue; in his 63d year. On the 16th, at Wytham, Berke, Montague, Earl of Abingdon ; in his 71st year. On the 17th, in Holly Street, Dalston, Mrs. Ann Wheeley, widow of Mr. Edward Wheeley, formerly of Leadenhall Street ; in her 94th year.

On the 17th, at Bath, the Rev. Henry Anson, brother of the late Viscount Anson, and last surviving brother of the Dean of Chester; in his 81st year. On the 18th, at Rromyard. Herefordshire, the Rev. William Cooke, Vicar of that place, Rector of Uningswick, and a Magistrate of the county; in his 70th year.
