The papers have been filled all the week with tedious accounts of a grand reception given by the King and Queen of the Belgians to 1,000 British Volunteers. The meaning of the ceremonial is that the Belgians are seriously afraid for their independence, and will be much obliged if England will uphold it for them, which may or may not be done, but certainly will nog be affected by volunteer receptions.
