lathie, Borrowby, Thirsk, North Yorks, formerly of Landmoth Hall, Kirby Sigston, who died on Aug. 10th last, left estate valued at £1,183,976 gross, £1,180,530 net. She left £342,000 to per- sonal legatees, £10,000 each to All Saints Church, Nether Silton, with the wish it be used for the installation of a window in the north wall to be known as `The Scalfe Window' in memory of her family, and St Mary's Church, Over Sil- ton, for the provision of electricity, £2,000 each to Thirsk Museum, the Leagues of Friends of Friarage Hospi- tal, Northallerton, and Lambert Hospi- tal, Thirsk, the North End Surgery, Northallerton, for medical equipment, `in appreciation of their help to my dear late husband', Leake Church, and the Friends of the Dales School, Morton on Swale, and the residue to her trustees to be divided equally between ten local charities as they decide.
