The King of Holland has met his Parliament, and congratulated
them on the state of their irrigation and foreign relations, regretted the condition of the dykes and the colonies, reported a reduction in the national debt, and generally made declarations which irresistibly suggest the honesty and industry of the Dutch,—and their general likeness to beavers.
