We have received three volumes of "Ward and Lock's Pictorial

Guides." Their arrival is somewhat late in the season, but not, we hope, altogether for this notice of them to be of some service. All have to do with Scotland, and deal respectively with The High- lands and Islands, The South-West, and The Bast Coast. They are liberally supplied with maps, a matter much more to the point in the case of a guide-book than any amount of illustrations.
