Warrants for the release of one hundred and thirty convicts,

recently brought to England, as the reward of good conduct, have been issued. Gratuities of from Si to 201. are paid to the men on leaving Woolwich.

John Smith was tried at the Central Criminal Court today, for the murder of Susan Tolliday, at the Guildhall Coffeehouse: he was convicted, and sentenced todeath; to be executed on Monday fortnight.

_ A powder-mill at the Kyles of Bute, in the West of Scotland, was blown up on Tuesday morning, causing the death of six workmen who were on the premises at the time. The report was heard at Inverary, a distance of forty miles.
