SEIZURE OF SILKS.

No less than 10,0001. worth of silks were seized a few days ago, for not having paid duty. The persons who had them are said to ho merely agents of a great City house, and to be guaranteed against all loss. The case was noticed by Mr. Hunt, on Thursday, in Parlia- ment ; when Mr. P. Thomson said, that Government wore deter- mined to prosecute for the highest penalties. They will be swinging ones.
