N.H. A few of the vessels on the last list nu-1y require some repairs, but on an emergency the whole might be sent to sea for a service of two or three yeats. In fart, worse ships than any of these were sent to the East Indies during Cue last war.

ON THE STOCKS—The Nile, 92; and London. 92; might lx launched at a few day; notice. The Royal Frederick, 120; Indus, 80; are ordered to be launched in April next. The St. George, 120; Trafalgar, 120 ; Goliab. 84; Colling' wood, 84 ; Boseawen. 70; and Cumberland, 70; arc building, and in a state of fitrwartine4s. •

The Chevalier Benkhausen, the Russian Consul-General in London, and a Captain in the Russian Navy, who is one of the Chiefs of the department of Naval Architecture at St. Petersburg, have arrived at Newcastle, and have been actively engaged in inspecting and purchas- ing vessels for the transport service, on account of the Russian Govern- ment. —Nett-m..41e Journal.
