The body of a murdered man was discovered this morning

in a field near the Swiss Cottage Tavern, New North Road, Hampstead. Yesterday evening, a passenger heard sounds as of people in violent altercation, a cry of " Help! murder!" and then a groan. In the man's pocket was a letter addressed to a person in Tottenham Court Road, who cannot be found: it related- to a woman whom the deceased had injured, and had appointed to meet him last evening.
