The Trade Returns The exports from this country during May

were valued at nearly £671 millions, which figure is higher by 1x7,000,000 than that for April and greater by 15 per cent: than the figure for May of last year. Among the items coal has advanced by 841,000 tons to a total of 5,328,000 tons. Imports, valued at £1081 millions, are lower than those of April. These figures should be encouraging to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Mr. Thomas.
