The Quotidienne has a letter from Algiers which states that,

in August last, a numerous population of Arabs, (3,000,) with their tents, camels, and flocks, shut themselves in the grottoes of the lbeat of the Dahra, and tha4 Colonel St. Arnaud had the eight entrances to these grottoes walled up,, and left all who were in them to perish. There is a probable conjecture that this is only a new version of Colonel Pelissier's affair.
