MORE JUDGES.

[To THE EDITOR OF THE " SPECTATOR.") Sns,—The proposal to appoint more King's Bench Judges is worthy of a spendthrift Government. There are already two Judges too many in the Chancery Division ; there are six, and there is work for four. (1) If two of them were turned on to do the King's Bench work, all the arrears would speedily disappear. As it is, there is great difficulty in keeping them apparently employed. (2) Three weeks taken off the fifteen weeks' holidays would mean 240 more days' work, and all arrears would disappear. (3) The Assize system should be remodelled. If Members of Parliament will stand this they will stand anything.—I am, Sir, &c., AUSTIN TOBIAS.
