A CASE of bankruptcy was discussed at the Bal11' ruptcy Court yesterday, which happened as far back as 1796! The bankrupt, a Mr. Philips, of Hungerfor.d Market, went out. to America in 1794; he and all 113` family are dead several years ago. The debts, sonv of them of forty years' standing, were paid in , in July last. Yesterday ten shillings in the pound interest was ordered to be paid. There will remain ,1 balance of nearly 500/. a year, after satisfying al demands.
