Sir: Mr Cole suggests (Letters, 15 Novem- ber) that the

evidence of a Harrods `securi- ty officer of good character and long ser- vice', among others, is enough to incrimi- nate Mr Hamilton. No doubt this employee was, at least, of an equivalent calibre to the security officer of the Ritz Hotel in Paris who, it has been alleged, was responsible for the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and the son of Mr Al Fayed while unable to control his car owing to drink.

References in Mr Cole's letter to the `bottle' were, to say the least, distasteful. But then, as they say, 'What can you expect from a pig but a grunt?'
