The Durham Advertiser has some "further particulars" of the Middlesborough

boiler-explosion ; from which it appears, that, in all, between thirty and forty persons were injured, and three more persons have died since the accident. The scene must have been one of the most horrible on record : one man was seen roasting alive among the burning cinders of the furnace, and he died before he could be got out ; a boy was running about with his arm burned off: and the spot was surrounded by the shrieking friends of the sufferers.
