Sra,—While, by the wish of the family, and the approval of the Dean and Chapter of Westminster, the outside arrange- ments on the occasion of Lord Tennyson's funeral were placed in our hands, everything connected with the ordering

of the ceremony in the Abbey was naturally and necessarily in the hands of the Abbey authorities.—We are, Sir, &c.,
