Professor Andrade could not be dull if he tried. In

Engines (G. Bell, 7s. 6d.) a series of lectures for boys, he is exceptionally interesting. We should all know the principles on which the power of the world is generated—but how Many of us do ? The juvenile audience that the author addressed might include the uninformed minds of several million adults ; we can assure such readers, if they are not too proud to learn, that they will find entertainment as well as instruction here. The last chapter deals with the future—tidal power—sun-power-engines – and the chances of liberating nuclear energy.
