Ruinous Rats On the subject of rats, against which some

of the War Agricultur Committees arc making a special campaign, it is reckoned by one farm that a hundred rats will eat the total grain produce of an acre, see 18 cwt. of wheat, that is (according to a statistician in the Cowl Gentleman) flour enough to feed nine persons for a year! A rat-I Britain would be richer by several millions of pounds a year.
