Ir is a matter for thought that a Cockney in the country now takes on this column of rural affairs, following one who had, natively, the " way of a countryman " (a happy phrase, which he used as the title of his autobiography, a book that puts him with Walton and Gilbert White). However, a lover can have as much to say as a son, though perhaps with less discrimination.
