THE QUARTERLIES. LORD BYRON'S POETRY.

Works of Lord Byron: Poetry, Vet. VII. (John Murray. Cs.). —The last volume of the poetry in Mr. Murray's admirable- edition of Byron contains several poems now for the first time given to the world. Perhaps the most striking of these is the "Battle-cry of the Suliotes." We are sorry to miss, however, a very beautiful set of verses by Byron, published some years ago in Murray'. Magasine, entitled " Opening Lines to Lars" It is, we think, a pity that they should have been omitted from the present volume. We will quote them at length
