In the Lords on Wednesday it was arranged that Lord

Rosebery's Resolutions should be the first business taken by the House of Lords after the Recess. The Government Resolu- tions will be considered immediately after Lord Rosebery's,- probably, that is, in the first days of June. Much to the annoyance of the Liberals, who would like to see the Lords take up an obstructive and obscurantist attitude on the subject of reform, it is clear that the bulk of the Peers are fully prepared to place the Upper House on a reformed basis.
