NECESSITOUS LADIES' HOLIDAY AND GENERAL FUND. (To ma Burma or

THE " Beeomos.") Sre,—As you have been good enough to allow me to appeal for years past for contributions towards. the Necessitous Ladies Holiday and General Fund, I venture once more to trespass on your kindness., No class has 'suffered more• pitiably owing to the war than the poorer gentry through loss of. work and of money, more particularly superannuated governesses and hos- pital nurses, literary ladies, oompanions, painters, musicians, actresses, and, indeed, all those disqualified to engage in lucrative work. and who,• without the possibility of earning in the summer months, are left behind in the City exposed to privation. In cases where the poor ladies are 'beyond a holiday the fund supplies relief in the -form of food, medicine, and clothing. I plead then for the 'old; the helplesei and the sick. All contributions sent to the-following address will be gratefully acknowledged and distributed.—I am, Sir, &O.,
